3 iframe posts card/ACH → MX Merchant /paymentToken

4 POST /api/checkout/payment-token {token, last4, brand|bankName, method:"card"|"ach"}

5 POST /api/checkout/confirm {sessionId, idempotencyKey}

6 GET /api/checkout/:id/status → poll until active

Method differences

Card — MX Merchant sale, authoritative approval at confirm time. Decline maps to payment_failed.

ACH — MX Merchant ACH debit is accepted, not approved. Confirm returns payment_pending; provisioning proceeds immediately and a later return code (R01/R02/R29) raises a past-due flag inside the app rather than reversing access.

Both — the same idempotency key is replayed on retry, so refreshes and double clicks cannot create a second charge or a second company.
