Solution

The revenue you lose is rarely the revenue you competed for.

Find the revenue that was earned but never billed, never recognized, or quietly lost at renewal.

The Problem

Why this is hard.

Revenue leakage is not usually the result of losing a deal. It is the result of winning one and then failing to fully collect on it: an annual escalator that was never applied, a contractual minimum nobody trued up, a milestone that was delivered and never invoiced, a renewal that lapsed because a notice window passed.

None of these are visible in a revenue report, because the report shows what was billed. What was never billed leaves no trace in the system that would show it. The only record of what should have happened is the contract, and the contract is a PDF.

Protecting revenue means comparing the agreement to the ledger — continuously, on every contract, rather than on the handful somebody has time to audit.

What Farsight DS Watches

The signals this solution acts on.

Unbilled escalators

A price increase the agreement specifies and the invoice run never applied.

Unmet minimums

Committed volume or spend that the period did not reach and nobody trued up.

Missing invoices

Expected billing generated from the contract with no matching invoice in the ledger.

Recognition divergence

A recognition schedule built from the terms that does not agree with what the ERP recognized.

Renewal exposure

Agreements entering their notice window, ranked by the revenue they carry.

Customer deterioration

Payment behavior, usage or correspondence that changes before the relationship does.

Pricing inconsistency

The same item priced differently across agreements without a reason recorded.

Service level obligations

Commitments with credits or penalties attached, tracked against actual performance.

The Approach

How the pieces combine.

Read the agreements

Extract the commercial terms from every customer contract and amendment, with each value traceable to its clause.

Generate what should have been billed

Build the expected billing and recognition schedule from the terms themselves.

Match against the ledger

Reconcile expected against actual invoices and postings, automatically linking what matches.

Queue what does not match

Route the exceptions to a person, with the clause and the transaction side by side.

Report the recovery

Separate what is still recoverable from what has become permanent leakage, and report both.

What It Is Made Of

You do not need all of them. Each is useful on its own; this is the combination that addresses the problem completely.

In Practice

What this looks like when it works.

›A quarterly escalator review that runs on every agreement instead of the largest twenty.
›A renewal calendar ranked by revenue at risk rather than by date entered.
›A leakage report that survives audit because every finding cites a clause.
›A vendor-side equivalent: are we being charged above the contracted rate?
FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What kinds of lost revenue does this find?

Unbilled escalators, unmet minimums, missing invoices, recognition that diverges from the contract, renewal exposure and pricing inconsistencies.

Will the findings stand up to audit?

Every finding cites the clause it depends on, with the contract term and the transaction side by side.

Do we need every product listed on this page?

No. Each product is useful on its own. A solution describes how several of them work together on one outcome; you can start with one and add the others as they create value.

Does Farsight DS replace our existing systems?

No. It works on top of the systems you already run. Nothing is replaced.

Work through protect revenue against your own systems.

Thirty minutes. We map what you already have and where this would start paying.
